I'm not in the band is a sweet teen read. It is perfect for the age group it is aimed at (12-16).

Kassidy is wanting a fresh start and is moving to a new school. Just before she starts, she attends a music concert where she meets a cute boy. Lucky for her he offers to show her around her new school.

Archer is a twin. He has always felt like he lives in his brother's shadow. He wants Kassidy to be the one thing that is truly his. He's been used before to get to his brother, but Kass seems different. Now all he has to do is pluck up the courage to ask her out.

This is a sweet clean read about a boy with a famous twin. I really enjoyed I'm not in the band and would recommend it. My favourite thing about this book is the modern writing style. It fits perfectly, and I think it will appeal to the desired teen age group. This book uses texts and social media to enhance the story. Both characters are likeable, and the storyline is engaging.
